K9-RSQ – The Lola Search & Rescue, January 2025

Lola – Great Houghton, Barnsley – January 2025

Lola went missing from her home in Great Houghton, Barnsley, on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. K9-RSQ were asked to assist and were quickly on the search for Lola.

For four days, she was on the run, narrowly dodging danger on busy roads. This is always a major concern when our missing pets are so close to busy roads, railways and waterways, so we knew we had to move fast.

Drone pilot Erica Hart from HARTSAR was also quickly on the scene and tracked Lola’s movements.

We came very close when Erica guided Lola’s owner in for a potential reunion—but Lola, still in flight mode, wasn’t ready. She bolted again.

Realising a humane trap was the safest option, Erica called in more backup, it was time for the trapping team!

K9-RSQ responded quickly, set a trap, and that same evening, Lola was safely secured. She couldn’t resist the roast chicken 🙂

Welcome home, Lola!
